What we collect, what we do not, and what happens when you click an affiliate link.

Nerdy Nonprofits is published by Fortun8 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@nerdynonprofits.com about anything on this page.
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell anything directly, and we do not have a mailing list you can join. We collect far less than most sites because there is very little we need.
Standard server and analytics data. Like nearly every website, our host records requests: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. We use this to understand which guides people read and to keep the site working.
Calculator inputs. Our donation fee calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us and are not stored anywhere.
Email you send us. If you write to hello@nerdynonprofits.com, we have your email and whatever you put in it, for as long as we keep the message.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the company you land on will typically set a cookie on your browser recording that you arrived from us, so they can attribute a later signup to this site. That cookie is set by them, not by us, and it is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. The tracking period varies by program, commonly 30 to 90 days.
We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views. Any analytics or affiliate network we use may set or read cookies through your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the guides on this site will still work.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build advertising profiles about you.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Residents of California have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA and UK have them under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Because we do not run accounts, in most cases the only personal information we hold about a given reader is an email they chose to send us. Write to hello@nerdynonprofits.com and we will act on any such request.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
