How this is calculated: fees are applied per individual donation (not to the lump sum), since flat per-transaction fees like the $0.30 card fee add up faster with many small gifts than with a few large ones. Givebutter's and Zeffy's numbers assume donors leave the default settings running as designed (tipping/contribution is optional per-donor, but both platforms' guarantees back the org for the full amount either way). Donorbox and DIY processing default to Stripe's standard 2.9%+$0.30 rate; check the box above if your org has already applied to Stripe and been approved for the discounted 2.2%+$0.30 nonprofit rate, which is never automatic.
